Oops.. I have done it again.. New car

Post by rock_it »

Oops.. I have done it again..

Was getting a little bored with the fleet, so decided to add to it. Was chatting with the Mrs the other day, and we were talking about hiring a ute to take a sh*t load of rubbish to the tip.. So I figured why not just buy a ute???

So did a little searching, and found a Hilux in Taree.. So after examining a few pictures.. I thought why not buy it.. So it gets here tomorrow..

Now the intention is to use it as a business vehicle, to carry spare parts and what not.. So it will be multipurpose.. And as it is a performance parts business I want to start, well it can then be a mini truck project and maybe tax deduction..

So I should have it by Lunch tomorrow.. And will get some pics up..
I just had to add it ......

If you even begin to make a mini truck, you lose all respect from me. I f**king hate the things! Atleast make it a sleeper. Don't do the stupid offset rear numberplate mounting sh*t, the candy colours, the stodgies, ANY OF THAT CRAP!

I'll ram the next one I see with a work truck!!!

Yeah but the last time I was looking at 2J's they were way too overpriced.. Well that was when I was looking for the Cresida.. And it had to come from the Aristo.. Due to the location of the sump..

So yeah may leave that alone. This thing has just had a reco'd engine put in, so should be pretty tough, and good for a while.. Well that's the hope. I just want to put this thing to use..

Can't wait.. 6 hours and it will be here..

If I bought a ute every time I did a trip to the tip, I wouldn't just be a fleet owner, but a Detroit automotive magnate...

    Carby.. Not diesel..

It has the 4y engine in it.. Was installed in August.. The guy bought a new block.. Cost him a bit.. So a bit of an upgrade from a worn out 3G.. It looks clean as..

Thanks mate.. Yeah that is the hope.. It is a nice comfy ride too.. So much softer then the FTO.. EVO and even the bike..

I have been thinking of lowering it, but not quite sure.. Also upgrading to a full chrome front end...

lol *whew* I thought it was going to be one of those bogan utes and you were gonna pimp them out :p

I've seen people with utes, they lower them, stick mags on them and give them paintjobs - I refused to believe for like 6 years that people buy them because they wanted to mod it, the only time I could see anybody 'forced' to buy one is purely because they needed it for work or lugging things around, cos frankly, they look like pieces of crap, putting perfume on a peice of turd doesn't make it smell any better :x

I used to think the rare few people that bought them was a epitome of the worse kind of bogan who would find something so repulsive and pathetic attractive. Actually I used to take photos of 'done up' utes and show them to others for a good laugh.

Usually I understand that people like what they like, though I honestly couldn't imagine anybody finding those attractive, I mean cmon.. it's an old ute, done up. Honestly, am I missing something? I could type 1000 pages and still wouldn't describe how retarded those people are who do up these.. I dunno, I can't think of a insult strong enough to describe my hatred (this is not a strong enough word) for that trash

lol anywho, got a bit carried away.. glad you're not thinking of 'pimping it out'

    Ok .. Well then..

I really love these old cars/utes.. Kingswoods and all..
I want to put a bit into this ute so it is presentable, and has my touches.. But is still able to be used to cart sh*t around.. Which is the main thing..
I just had to add it ......
