Advice on bonnet style :D

Post by El_Ade »

Hey Guys!

So im getting new rims today, and they are black, and im trying to carry out the whole...black on white sort of look, as i sort of like that style, now....i need some advice on what to do with the bonnet, should i...

a) Paint it black to go with the rims

b) Carbon fiber wrap the bonnet..iv seen this done on bonnets with scoops etc..looks pretty cool in my opinion but never really seen it done to an fto bonnet.

or

c) Leave it white

I'm having heaps of trouble trying to decide..if anyone has some advice on which road i should head down, it'll be appreciated.

Cheers :thumleft:

I'd leave it white. IMO the black on white thing works best with just a little black. I'm heading for wheel nuts and got to respray the brake calipers etc..

I'll also have a spare AB style bonnet in c/f that we can put on Aza's car to see what the white, black and c/f with scoop looks like..
I just had to add it ......

I talk a lot of sh*t, usually have to keep a roll of toilet paper handy in the car for my mouth

This is a Photo shop of what my car will look like.
at this time the carbon fiber bootlid is on and it has no wing on it as I will be looking into one of dstocks wings that he may be getting made up  so don't tacke a lot of notice to the wing in the pic.
It will look a lot better after the spray as the black will be all the same colour.

That makes it look really wide aza, nice work. To me it looks a little wierd going through the front bar though. Interested to see the finished product ;)

I can't take the cred for it as it was Dstocks that came up with the front bar look, I looked at it time and time again and had to put it onto the car :D
I like it as it is diferent and there will be pulse racing stickers tastfully placed on the bonnet at a later date hehehe. Also I still have to work with the painter to get the black part of the bar to flow from the bonnet and bar so it won't look out of place so it may change alittle bit.

Thanks but Dstocks did the ps as I am still trying to figer out how to use it. I think a six year old could do a better job than me at the moment
I looked at the pic of it for about a month or so befor I said 100% yep I would do it like that. It's going to cost around $1600-$1700 to do as there is a lot of prep work to be done to the car first. But I am happy to pay that as I know it will be done right and look great. Getting it ready for autosalon
