G'Day Everybody!

Post by mattmWA »

Hi all,

I am new to FTOAustralia but an owner of an FTO for the last year in the UK. My fiance and I have recently migrated to Oz and we are currently living in Perth.

I have a few questions regarding importing my FTO from the UK.

I've owned my GPX tip for 12 months and as the demand for them in the UK is slowing. I wanted to import it over here to stop it from rusting away in the rubbish british weather!!

Can anyone help me with regards to rough costs of importing it? Would I stand to lose anything if i wanted to sell it over here? I've had a look at prices of these in WA and they seem to be selling for a lot more than in the UK. I dont intend to sell it as soon as I get it here but I'm just thinking in case we decide to go back to the UK.

Also, can anyone recommend a decent import company to deal with when shipping from the UK to WA? What sort of tests or legislation do I have to get done for it??

Thanks in advance,

Matt

Hey man WTTC, the only info i can give you man is that the fact that you have owned the car for 12months will like almost half the amount of stamp duty or import tax you have to pay (but that info is six yrs old so it may have changed)
CHRISTIANITY: The belief that a cosmic Jewish Zombie who was his own father can make you live forever if you symbolically eat his flesh and telepathically tell him you accept him as your master, so he can remove an evil force from your soul that is present in humanity because a rib-woman was convinced by a talking snake to eat from a magical tree...

Mate I think you'll also find that having owned the car for more than 12 months you won't have to go through the normal import stuff that is SEVS.

If you own the car for more than 12 months I think you can still import it as a personal import, not as much compliance issues if at all

http://www.infrastructure.gov.au/roads/ ... .aspx#5.06

This might help, as for someone in Perth that can compliance it for you I'm not really sure of anyone, maybe check out www.xspeed.com.au and see if you can get onto anyone from there. Best of Luck
