And you'd know if the MAF was unplugged...

Prices seem pretty reasonable for a workshop to me. Vectose, are you angling for a rank change? I'm thinking 'tightarse' might be applied here  Or "I can get it cheaper" *insert ass crack gif here*

Peache, you can do a fairly simple diagnostic test to see if your 02 sensor is gone. It's not something your mechanic would normally pickup on & it doesn't throw an engine light until it's completely dead.

$400 labor is definitely on the cheaper side!!

for the service
-oil filter 14.5 - Average
-engine oil 36 - Cheap
-oil treatment 10.5 - Cheapish
-started motor reconditioned 245 - Cheap
-degreaser 15 - Always a rip.
-wheel allignment 65 - Cheap
- puncture replair 15 - Cheap
-workshop materials 20 - Average
-labour inc strut top replacement (i supplied parts), lube service, top up levels and safety check 400

total $903 inc tax

I'm a mechanic and you did well.

Is your tail pipe full of black soot? I reckon you should fill your take drive 100kms fill it up again and see how many litres it takes!
