Because it is more accurate, and you're not going to fill up the exact same amount each tank.

Peache, you can do a fairly simple diagnostic test to see if your 02 sensor is gone. It's not something your mechanic would normally pickup on & it doesn't throw an engine light until it's completely dead.

Is your tail pipe full of black soot? I reckon you should fill your take drive 100kms fill it up again and see how many litres it takes!
