Hey guys ,

quick question , I was sure all 95 GPX's came with ABS .. And I was sure mine did too ... Although now I read in the manual that when you turn the key on , you should see an ABS light show up for a few seconds ... Although when I turn my car on , I dont see this ABS light ...

Which tells me it may not be working ... Although , im not even entirely sure my car has ABS , Im sure it does ... Im just having a mental blank ..
I checked in the engine bay , and I can see ABS written on my fuse box , but the rest is in japanese ..

Is there any other way I can check this ? .. I thought of just driving and slamming on the breaks to see what happens but id prefer and nicer method if possible , lol ..

Cheers

i don't think 95 model comes with ABS. ABS comes with post facelift models .. i might be wrong, some confirm.

It was an option up till 97 when it became standard.

Look at the top of your throttle body. If there is a whole bunch of small black rubber pipes running around then it has ABS.

Even easier... drive down a quiet street & slam on the brakes. If it locks up & slides, it does not have ABS. If it shudders violently & you feel the brake pedal pulsating beneath your foot - it has ABS.

Pull the fuse if you want it off  Or better yet, wire a switch into the fuse circuit.

Take a decent under the hood pic of your ride and either I or someone else can tell you if you got ABS.

I think it would be far more likely that you don't have ABS.

the brakes are the same as the evo3, if you were gonna change the discs then you should upgrade to slotted/drilled ones should pick some up for under 4 hundy. could fit them yourself easily.
