Are they really worthwhile to have one fitted on a regularly STREET-DRIVEN car? the reason i'm asking is because it is hindering my ICE mods... there's literally no room for subs from the rear of the backseat!

Well i've got one, & it does makes a different when u turn hard into corners.

Subby is just going 2 make your car heavier, I use 2 have one, but cause is a small car, & the speakers i've got aren't that bad, so i just tune them, so theres enough bass going through my speakers.

dunno about you, but i can never replace the bass quality of a sub with just speakers alone... plus my car is not raced often so weight is not a big issue to me... it's my daily cruise machine to get me from A to B in comfort, style and certainly a whole lot more speed than my previous shitbox...

*smiles* You can't replace a sub for bass, even if you've got 6x9s =)

You just can't get that 60Hz and below range and it isn't as 'pure' =)

I got a rear strut brace and 2 subs at the back.

There is still some storage space left.

Hmmmmm I did say I get enough bass, not replacing the sub quality or getting the same amount of bass!!! Ohhh well!

& just in case some of u going 2 tell me how good a sub are, compare to 6 x 9!!! Let me repeat again, I was running Kicker sub feed by a Kicker amp before, so yes I know nothing going 2 replace a good quality sub! Now I just gave them 2 my friend 4 his WRX MY02 STI

I have got front and rear upper strut braces and front lower strut brace with 35mm lowered ohlins adjustable suspension and i love the way it handles. I recommend it, you really notice the differance.

i guess u only notice the difference if u go into the corner real hard in high speeds... i spend most of my driving time around th 80kph mark to and from work, with the occasional squirt to 150 on the freeway... so yes, i'm very easy on my car (coz i want it to last)

hey WILL, what subs do u use and which amp do you run them from?

well actually you dont have to drive it hard to notice the differance, you even notice it in daily driving to and from work.

Hey 02NV

I got 2 x pioneer 12inch subs. The amps that run them a 2 x audio shades.

Its a very economic upgrade.

The amps are mounted behind the rear seats.

where did u mount the subs? my upper strut brace at the rear doesn't leave me with much room to mount a sealed box, unless i mount free-air subs...

which pioneer subs did u use?
