I am getting really fed up of the government here in the UK, Scotland is cold but too wet for good skiing

and we are becoming more and more of a nanny state with speed camera every mile, pay per mile driving being proposed and higher and higher car and fuel taxes.
Who would be the best people to talk to about emigration from here, I suppose that would be immigration to where you guys are.
I know the grass often seems greener on the other side but its died and gone to sh*t here
So any pointers would be good.
Thanks guys and gals,
Storm

I think your first point of contact should be Kazbah (our club secretary)

Wasnt all that long ago that that Mike & Lucy (aka the Hostile Performance team) were asking Kaz & myself the same questions. Its based on a point system of sorts... but Kaz knows all the details

I have gone through the pointing system as well, applied through a visa called "Overseas Independant Skilled Migration"
It took 6 weeks to be approved, but this is some crazy timeframe. Normally takes around 6-12 months.
I thought I was rejected.
Great country Australia, lots of fishing and shooting
And here I come;
Murat Ungun become Max The Turk!
hehehehe

it depends on a number of things...
what coutry you are from
what visa you attempt to migrate using
etc
Skilled is a good way if u have the right qualifications...
I heard its hard for ppl form the UK to come here...although its easy for us to go there...not sure if thats true...easy for me cos I have a british passport somewhere...thanks mum!
the dimma web site offers much advice.. -

i was looking at someones immigration form at uni, being able to pass an english test gives you a lot of bonus points, having a degree or diploma or a tradeskill and work experience also helps...?

Sounds a bit like the weather and the Governments revenue raising methods down here in Tasmania.
Cheers

If you are coming here to escape the government, don't.
Our PM is more backwards than your's... he hasn't even signed the Kyoto Treaty
