I'd be interested to try the 'V Power Racing'.... replaces the Optimax extreme.

I haven't noticed anything different between Optimax and V-Power. Shell is the only fuel I use, next time I might try the V-Power Racing and see if that is any good.
I reckon its just a marketing technique to get younger drivers using it because of the name LOL.

What's the pricing on it?

This is just another bogus marketing campaign of Shell,
V-Power is not a new thing,
It’s been in Europe for a long time,
I know in Turkey for over 3-4 years.

I think they simply introducing the V-Power to reduce the market share of BP Ultimate and Caltex high octane stuff,
Shell has failed with Optimax and trying to patch it now,

I honestly think that Optimax and V-Power is the same sh*t, just renaming it to sound it more sophisticated.

Aparently its a new formula...some people have reported good things..But I'm sticking to BP Ultimate

I had a friend who is in Turkey at the moment,
he was kinda junky, amateur one, one of the top idiot I met in my life
One day we scraped a bit of plaster from the wall and gave it to him,
he gone through couple of lines and reported good things about it as well,
especially when he said, "great stuff, my legs are tingling"
That’s when I thought is he just imagining or plaster is actually making him paralysed?

So, the moral is, although I don’t think V-Power is special, I am sure there will be some over enthusiastics out there, which will claim positive feedback

btw, this friend of mine is getting trained to be a commercial pilot, which is even more scary

VPR is good stuff..just like Extreme before it. Used a couple of tanks so far - I don't care what anyone says 100 octane is def better than 98.

As for a comparison between VPR and Extreme - can't really say as I used it in different cars. But with both fuels performance increased and better mileage over 98.

Is that on the skyline or the FTO?

Both. Skyline has knock readout which helps comparison, gotta get an SAFC 2 or equivalent so I can do the same with the FTO.

what were the knock readings?? My PFC isn't installed until Oct 30...so I can't tell on mine yet.

All my testes between Ultimate and Extreeme were inconclusive so I stuck with BP cos its close by. Maybe some more tests are in order...

btw Kid...line is going good.

Well I had a fairly mediocre tune, and with 98RON PFC would show up around 30-40 knock on the street, sometimes more. After I started using Extreme, it would stay below 20 when I was giving it hell - that was without mucking around with the timing. Definitely a good thing.

Chris your car sounds interesting. Mod list please!

This is a great info dynamite :D So have you got the figure for VPower yet? Did you notices any different in the oil and oil filter during service, compare to using normal Optimax?

If the claim from VPower is true, force induction cars should notices the oil different during oil change. I'll be interesting to see if anyone had any result.

- V-Power Racing gives me similar knock results to Extreme
- Both seemed to give better results over 98RON (V-Power and Optimax)

I am using different oils now so I wouldn't be able to do an unbiased test based on when I was running Optimax.

At the end of the day, if you can get V-Power Racing I would recommend it over any other fuel.

yeah a good UOA should give some def. results.

Based on those knock readings 20 is good mate...will be using it for sure now and test it out myself... The Shell near work was just upgraded so its not far to get now..

As for my R33 mods..
I wont whore this thread..I'II add to the skyline thread....see below
