hey guys just wondering if anyone can help.. i just bought a pair of monroe boot gas struts.. theyr not specified for the fto.. but the guy at repco measured up my old ones.. to get one of the same size.. al though they do fit in length.. but where i have to attach one end to the boot.. i cant attach it cos of a metal clamp which is built into it for attachment.
they cost me 130$ for a pair. so now i have to return them and get new ones :(
does any one know a part number .. for boot struts wich would definetly fit.. and made for the fto.. prefer aftermarket not geniuine mitsubishi.?

Look up a company call 'Gas Strut Recharge'

Its a little asian dude who comes to your house in a shitbox camira station wagon loaded with different types & swaps them out in 20 odd minutes. Cost between 40 & 80 bucks. Unsure if they do Newc area thou, better check.
