complete headlight,

prefer the driver side one, but passenger side will do to (will consider the pair if the price is right  ).

doing a little project, dont really want to screw it up or not like the finished product and having to be on the back foot then.

anyone got a spare one? :?

prefer to pick up locally (brisbane, or near by).

cheers guys

Y

thanks for that, I know i've been watching them for a while now.

they are in pretty poor condition, and it's been relisted at least once already, so i'm going to wait it out until they re-relist it a couple of times then offer them a stupid amount for it. heheh...

was just wondering if anyone had a spare one thats all (although i'm still not to sure how someone can have a "spare" head light, maybe someone bought a friday car that came with 3 headlights or something lol)

    Ok

Ok, then the one with the broken lens I have wont be helping then (I thought you might be going to play at baking it so that the lens can be removed for painting inside - testing the oven temp).

broken lens? if you mean the plastic cover (aka "glass"), then its perfect, cos that's the part i'm going have to take out and replace.

      how do i explain this.....

i want the head light to sit flush with the bonet line instead of the front of the car... i.e i'll have to remove the plastic cover, then manufacture some sort of replacement that doesnt go as far out as the original one, then putty up the grates and paint the now exposed part of the light the same colour as my car...

did that make sense to you? cos it didnt really make much sense to me lol

      Broken Light

      Post by dstocks »

Well, I have a broken light. Nothing is wrong with it other than the clear plastic lens which is cracked and has a bit missing. I believe that you can get the lens off by heating it in an oven (this is the way others have done it). Just havent had the opportunity to try this myself. Would like to know what temperature to use as I would maybe like to paint the insides of my lights at some stage.

the car's red, interior's going to be white and blue when my 6month suspension is up, and i'm hoping to eventually respray the car (either blue or red, not sure yet). so what colour should i paint the lights?
