Central Locking

Hey guys.. i have central locking with a button in the key. Works only sometimes - needs a new battery, so ive been key locking it lately. Only had the car a few weeks but i have realised that when i lock from drivers side using the key - both doors lock
but when i lock from passanger side with the key only the passanger door locks not the driver door with it. Is this normal? not a major problem as i mostly lock from my driver door but yea would like to know whats going on there.
Oh locking with the remote (when it does work) works fine and locks both doors.
Cheers

yeah, that's pretty normal in most cars as far as i'm aware. any car i've had has done the same thing.

yeah its like how the driver can wind down all the windows in the car but the passenger can only wind down his/her own

its pretty normal mate...
have you driven any other cars with central locking before?? for what i know i havent driven any cars that if i keylock the passanger side, the driver side get locked as well...
so, dont worry about it.. just change a battery, its so cheap (less than 10 bucks) for more safety...

while on the topic of central locking.. if you change your battery does your remote need to be reprogrammed or anything? i think my remote needs to be changed, but my car alarm goes off when i open the car manually with keys so i dont want to stuff it up

no...the codes would be programmined in. change the battery etc...put to start it you need to use your buttons.
