Headlights

Hey guys - i noticed my head lights (not the lamp the actual casing) is a bit dirty. Looks darker and in the right light sorta like the same colour as oil on water.. u know that dark shiny look..
How can i get in there and clean it- i searched for some posts but didnt come up with anything exciting... any suggestions or directions would be appreciated
