Good day! Been browsing this site for a long time.
Im from the Philippines.

Anyway, I have a mivec v6 manual transplanted to my mirage coupe. I've been planning to have my downpie customized here since there are no locally available parts for this engine here in Manila. My question is what should be the diameter that I should use with the downpipes? 2.25"? Ive been seeing a lot of downpipes available there from camskill, rpw etc.. Well they would definitely be a nice purchase but they will probably cost so much to ship it in here.

Hope you can help me out here!
Thanks a lot!

Assuming you mean just the downpipe from the two extractors I would use 2 separate 1.25" or 1.5" pipes coming down to an even smooth V into 2.5"pipe.

thanks for the reply.

yup Im referring to this one: I think this one is from rpw. Just curious as to what is the inlet diameter of those pipes.

I'm not sure what the size is but I think the pipes coming from the headers is 1.75" to 2" and then the merge together to 2.5".

thanks a lot.
So this is what I'm planning to do, I'll be using 2" pipes then merge them to a 2 3/8" pipe.

Do you think this will be ok? Im currently using 2 /38" pipings for my exhausts, will there be a big difference if I change it to 2.5"? I feel that by using 2.5" it will make my low end suffer.

any added information would really help.

thanks a lot!

I don't feel there will be a big difference, 2 3/8" should work just fine.
