Have a 2.0L GPX Mivec and been given a set of NGK BKR6E-11 plugs from a parts supplier. Fitted are NGK BKR7EKC-N plugs. I questioned this and was told that the BKR6E ones are cheaper than the BKR7E, but are right for the car.

I know that different plugs are fitted to the front and rear cylinders in some cases, the rear lasting twice as long as the front ones.

Am changing myself so don't mind the labour if I have to change them again in another 50k, just neeed to know that they are the correct plugs?

BKR6E-11 - 6 heat rating and 1.1mm gap. The GPX is suposed to use a cold rated plug - 7 - hence BKR7EKC-N.

BKR7E-11 is the std 7 plug
BKR6EIX11 is the irridium version in 6s however if u want a 7 rated in NGK u need the one in the group buy for the IRIWAY version.

Usually they put platniums in the rear cos its hard to change and they last longer but actually some test results show the standard versions are actually better (BKR7E-11) but don't last as long.

I use the IRIWAY7s gapped to 0.6. No issues at all.
