Hey guys, My crank angle sensor has gone bust and im in the process of replacing it.

Has anyone done one before? I've heard that there is a way to do it without removing the crank pulley?

FYI I ordered mine from Kempy's in NZ - cost is $75nzd (new) plus postage. I couldnt even get a price from mitsu here in oz!

there is no way of doing it without removing the crank pully has to be removed in order to remove the lower cam belt cover as it sheilds one of the bolts. So long as the last person to do your cam belt didnt use a air impact wrench and toqued it properly its not too hard to crack the bolt and remove it.

I was thinking that it would be impossible with it still on.

I'll see if I can get it off tomorrow. I think I might as well give the timing belt a whirl whilst im at it as well!

My alternator needs a rebuild too - man this service is mounting up!
