stepper motor or alternator?

Hi, i have a problem with my fto. The alternator just got replaced and the battery light from the dash still comes on. I have a problem with the stepper motor though since i have to hold the acceleralator to start otherwise it would shut off.
When the idling drops below say 800, the battery light comes on. If I push accelerator, the light goes off. I'm thinking it's the stepper motor so I'm going to get a new one.
Is this the case??

Certainly sounds like the stepper motor

thanks!!
i forgot to note that previous my battery went flat cause the alternator was not charging, and the battery light kept coming on. I thought it would go away after i get a new alternator and batter, but it's still on.

i've bought a new stepper motor from Nardek. On the first night i installed it (last night), idling seemed back to normal. However this morning when i started it, it didn't even get past 1000RPM when the engine was cold. Obviously, the battery light came on again as described earlier.
Something is wrong with my idling and just can't solve it...........

Is the battery light still on all the time? Where abouts in brisbane are you. I could kick it for you.

THe battery light comes on when idling very low. I have now got the alternator and stepper motor replaced, and still having the same problems.
How do i get into the little compartment thing that the stepper motor sits in so i can give it a good clean?
It seems very dirty inside because when I thread a tissue through it, a lot of junk comes out.
