Ok guys, i have been doing stuff to my car ever since i have owned it and it just keeps getting better!
Now for the update that i promised ages ago...
We'll start with the interior:
Image
So what i have done here is:
KMC v4 Dials
Blue Neons under dash hooked up to door lights - these are hot!
Sony Ericsson HBH-700 Bluetooth car kit - screen is just infront of rear vision mirror, again very hot up there...almost aeroplane like...he he
Sony GT700 Head Unit with Sony HDD 20Gb MP3 player and interface to have control from head unit.
Today i recalibrated my dials...this was not that easy but not to too hard either. The only one i may need to readjust is the tacho as i dont have a ecu diagnostic device to measure the exact RPM. Fuel was easy as was the speedo. As far as temp goes this may be correct - reads just under 90deg (12o'clock) once warm.

Front Bar: (GPvR)
My car came with no fog/driving lights so i put some in myself. Bought a set from Auto Barn at chatswood. they were made by 'tuned by matrix' and had angel eyes with colour changing LEDs. when i fitted them they looked hot witht he angel rings, but the colour changing looked sh*t house. i tired to mod the controller with no luck, so then i worked out from the wiring which was the blue LED circuit. only problem was they wernt 12V leds so i cooked the blue ones. due to imese anger at this point i proceeded to blow up the other colours out of sheer spite that my beloved blue ones had gone to the great LED god. either way they still function as great driving lights. i will buy a new set at some point so if anyone wants these in the not to distant future i'll sell them.

i also installed some blue mesh on the front grill to replace my old rusting crap..again looks way hot!
Boot:
ok here is where all the action takes place (besides making the car go fast)
Speakers: (in car)
Alpine type S front splits
Alpine type S 3-way rear 6x9s
Alpine type S 12" sub
Amps: (in boot)
Alpine V12 Amp - front and sub
Sony 2ch amp - rear

This all works wonderfully well...i installed the amps on a peice of plywood and covered it in black thin carpet. Screwed amps to this and it all looks pretty.

Finally the engine bay:

ok well i havent done much here apart from fix things.
CAI was already fitted - 4" tube to KnN pod down low...
TOP STOP strut bar already fitted

So things i wanna do here are:
clean the whole bay and have anything that can be acid dipped and chromed done...such as plennum, rocker cover, whatever else i can find.
replace hoses with samco hoses - all blue.
have power steering fixed - leeking at the moment
have engine cleaned and oil leeks fixed
also needs a tune up i think
and need new HID lamps soon and posibly a new lanp base for one
super charge or turbo this baby!

Whats happening next week?
Well after a trip to pedders the other day i was told my shocks are no good. this is actually the case. i was also told i need some new bushes on the lower control arms...after doing an inspection myself, i cant actually see why these need replacing, they look fine...
anyway - i am going to get some G4 racing coilovers next week. i will be fitting these myself. should be quite easy actually. only hard bit will be removing the old springs, but i will get a spring compressor for assistance here.
Will let you all know how i go with this...

SO there you go, my little update. will keep more information comming along as i go...

Final words - i am attempting to do more servicing etc on my own and buy more tools. why you may ask? well i am sick of bull sh*t from mechanics! they say one thing and do another, change bull sh*t rates for some very easy tasks and then get even the simplist things wrong!!! like cross threading bolts and what not...

Nice looking car.

I like the white look, what year is yours and is your steering wheel an air bag one?

hey guys...
AJ - I'd be happy to help with anything you need...the dial on A pillar is a vacuum gauge.
BobZ - she is a 1997 GPvR. steering wheel is airbag one.

nice work on the interior man, lighter coloured cards with darker interiors and vice versa really suits :D
