Driving Lights Not Working

My driving lights (fog lights) have suddenly stopped working. When I press the switch, nothing happens, no lights at the front and no dash lights. I seem to remember a problem with a switch burning out being a common problem, is this likely to be that problem or is that something else? Anyone got any ideas?
Cheers,
Gavin

First thing is check the fuse, if thats ok then yeah its the switch. Those driving lights need relays put in to stop them burning out the switch.

So who's gonna write the DIY on how to wire up that relay?

Switch

Its likely the switch - common weakness. Check the back of it and see if there are burn marks on it.

fog switch burnt out. The switch is a mutliswitch so your rear lights and parkers will turn on and not your main fogs.
Whoever designed the fog light system for the FTO is stupid. With the amount of current running through the system who would not relay the system?? Thats just stupid!!!

Ive relayed mine but totally bypassed the switched. I couldnt be stuffed figuring out the pin outs on the switched so i installed another switch.
I did mine the long way but im guessing easier at the time.
Fused use a postive to both fogs relayed the connections then installed a switch in my car to trigger it.
Do a search on relays and it gives you an understanding of how they work. From that its easy to relay up the system.

One of my Foglights have been out for about a month now. I'm quite positive it's just the bulb on mine. But my issue is that no matter how I try, I can't seem to get it out!? Bloody Facelift.
