Has anyone here had problems with squeaky belts after rain or on a cold morning?
Reading the uk forums this seems to be a common thing with the fto.Is it a matter of just tightning the belts?

could be two things...old belt...or loose belt. You can try to tighten the tension...a few of the DIY sites show u how.

Don't tighten then too much or you will put too much stress on the bearings.

apparently the catshaft belt should be replaced every 100,000 kms .. and this costs about $350 for belt+labor.

there r tension pullies and u can tighten them...don't do it too tight or u'll fuk the bearing on the pully.
I replaced mine on Monday. all sweet. the idle pully is on the way out so thats next.

The aircon belt needs to be replaced more often as well coz it's a lot lower to the ground and is prone to getting wet in rainy weather.
