Cause you'd have screw holes in your lid.... easier to just swap the lid.

Hey,

I got mine welded...
There's no problem there!!!

I have never heard a boot getting warpped as a result of a heat.....???

I know few who has done it and it's ok...as well as mine ofcourse...

So best bet to get it welded I say!!

Cheers,

nope, you sure can... i got the existing spoiler mounting holes on mybootlid patched up with welds and the only warping i'm getting is the mounting post area for my GT wing (due to the tightness of the screws). however without the GT wing fitted the bootlid should be smooth s a baby's bum... ;)

i guess at the end of the day it depends on how professional the job was carried out...
