Top mounts are the top of the shock (the bit that you can see from the engine bay with the 3 nuts on it). Advantages of good ones - Camber adjustment for one. Lasting more than a few months is another (the standard Mitsubishi ones are known to be weak). The FTO strut tops (or top mounts) are the same as for the Lancer (parts are interchangeable). CC or CE I think (Although today I got told that all Lancers the same through to EVO9.

i think they also claim a little bit of extra road feel/feed-back

Yeah, they are a little stiffer & give you a bit more feedback. But as mentioned, camber adjustablility is the main purpose.

the pogo stick effect will be from your shocks and spring setup...IMO i don't think you really want jap style suspension which is very hard, but a nice combo of ok ride and good performance rnd corners..in the end its a trade off. I soften my shockers every second week cos its too hard then firm them up again when I feel like a run around some corners...i can't make up my mind...hehhe the benifit of adjustable ones...

show off . lol. yea what im looking for is a good ride and handling. i just hate how at the moment it feels spongey or bouncey if u may. been having a read thru bens thread on suspension. think i'll go with the swaybars, strut tops, new drop links and new strut braces front n read. any recomendations who to go to in melb?
