You car don't have a flashy red strip of LEDs on the grill, and answers to the name KITT by any chance?

Ohhh the good old R spec Mivec controller with optional "useless" panel. I've seen a few of these on different FTO. They cause nothing but trouble to all those owner so far.

Like Grue said the panel bit have a turbo timer funtion as well as oil temp & power indicator just to tell you that your got "good" power. Pretty useless for a N/A.

Interesting.... Then could be why your wires to your other oil temp were cut perhaps?

yeah, its got a turbo thing, but the car is n/a. looks like its quite useless... esp since i don't have a remote start control... just a remote to unlock the doors; does nothing else.
think i will tell the alarm fitter to get rid of it when i get one put in.

yeah, i have no idea why i would use the mivec controller... seems pointless to me
