Mitsubishi part numbers: [ Jap != Aus? ]

I've been messing around with the rear parcel shelf this week. Removed my child restraints (they were practically falling out anyway) and fitted some new speakers and uncut grills. I noticed that I had a few broken clips on the underside of the shelf, so I got the part number online and went to visit Mitsubishi.
The part for the FTO rear parcel shelf stud is MR146788. It's a small black plastic stud. Mitsubishi said they'd need to order it in from Japan. Payment would need to made upfront. Just under $10 (per stud!
). Nearly $50 for 5 little plastic studs? No way.
By a complete stroke of luck, I was searching through my box of tricks and found some studs I purchased in error for my old cc lancer. Wouldn't you know it, a perfect match. MB851006 can be found in practically any Mitsubishi dealer because it's for a car that was sold in Australia. There is one difference, it's white, not black. But these things get stuck where nobody can see them, so who cares.
It makes me wonder how many other parts for the FTO get used in Australian cars with different Mitsubishi part numbers. If only there was Jap-Aus part conversion table.
Hope this post saves someone some money.
