Hey guys,

I'm sending my car in to envy imports tomorrow to get some work done. They'll be replacing the lsd/gearbox with a second hand one and they've recommended getting the clutch done at the same time. (sure, why not.) Any recommendations on what to get? The guy I was speaking to refered to a (3?) paddle with an organic plate?

My car has a fairly hard life. Hitting 8000 at least two or three times on the way to get some milk from the local shops. So I need something that can handle it.

So, uh, what's good? :?

I bought a daiken (exedy) heavy duty clutch.
Its full on for the first few weeks getting used to it, was stuttering around a bit but after a while you get used to it and I think also it loosens up a little. MAkes a massive difference to driving!

be careful about going to full on with your clutch... can be a pain in the ass if its purely off/on and there is no travel at all.

So your going to see Herman hey? Get him to put the same clutch in that he put into mine. A heavy duty number with extra couple of hundred kilos more clamping pressure. Feels almost stock to drives but will smoke 2nds any day of the week. Very friendly to use

When I rang they actually asked me if I had my FTO imported through them. Must have thought I was you. :p

So... there's no lsd/gearbox. He can't get one within NSW. Disappointing.

So next Monday he'll be taking out the existing one to get it reconditioned. *fingers crossed*

Went & saw Herman today, said he was having trouble finding a box. I pointed him to a few places
