Hello,

Could some one help me please.

I want to spray pain the insides of my car's doors....
The plastic parts...

Would any one know the procedures for doing this please?

Like do you have to clean it? with what?
What do you have to spray before the actual spray painting? Is there a coating of spray that you have to do before this? Etc...

Please help...

Thank you.

yeah easy :)
use something like acetone on the to remove all oils and other products. then i used engine enamel to pain with (in a spray can) ... be very careful and only apply in light coats. for best results (and if you hve a big enough oven) bake them on about 60-80 for about 30 mins. don't over cook or they will melt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and all plastic bits are very expensive to replace!!!

yeh i did it on my car, if the area u paint is always used (ie. door handles) then it can be a bit tricky. other areas which are hardly ever touched can be done with simple spray cans designed to do the job.

Btw do u have a red fto?

Does anyone have any pics of their FTO's from the inside? Like, what they have done, paint wise etc just to give me an idea of what some people are doing?

i'll be tackling on this project at the start of summer so that the paint will dry quicker in warmer weather.

definitely looking at spraying the door trims and console in silver, but it'll be a little' ticky to get a silky smooth finish on the door trims since they have a 'grained' feel...

BTW, i think VHT paint should be good enough... but how do you avoid painting on the door fabric accidentally??

...oh and what temperature should you be baking the panels?? not sure if my oven is big enough LOL..!!

Hello,

What about the fabric part of the door on the inside?
The carpetty material part where the door handle is on the inside...
Does any one have any idea how to paint these ones?
And what kind of paint you need for this?

Thank you,
