Breather Pipe

Hi Guys, i need a new breather pipe. what is the best otion:
1. new pipe and reconnect from crack cae to intake pipe
2. small filter
3. oil catch can
any ideas?

Best option is to reconnect it - as it is 'metered' air. If you run without the breather, the motor will idle higher to compensate for the lost air pressure.

Next best option is to filter it. The filter masks the effect of missing that air & as a result the car will idle & behave normally. I have this solution.

Essentially a oil catch will do the same as a filter, just a whole lot more $$$ for a good one.

ok cool, so where do i buy this pipe from? is it special pipe?
also, do you know where you get those coloured engine bay pipes from?

I have an oil catch can and after a year it doesn't seem to have collected even a drop of oil so I recommend just run the pipe from the heads to the intake

That's because you've left the front bank breather still connected.....the rear on it's own won't do diddly squat because the manifold vaccuum is sucking all the fumes from the front bank and the balancer pipe to the rear..

I have both front and rear connected to a vented catch can and that fill up in about 2 weeks!!!

ps. the air from a gpx isn't metered so it won't make a difference to idling on that engine :)
