D2 Coilovers..opinions please

hey .. just want some opinions from you guys .. ive got 1800$saved up so far. i was planing on buying tein coilovers. costing me about $2300 but ive recently been intrested in getting D2 Coilovers.. ? does any one know if these are ok ? like performance wise. and qulity wise? compared to teins .. because i can buy a brand new set for $1250. thats for the 4struts and pillowballs. ? opinions anyone

The teins are the rolls royce of coilovers... but, i'd only get them if you are into hardcore racing, they're a little rough on the street (i like them but).
I'd save your money and go the D2

2300 for teins? you should be able to get them cheaper than that now...
where were you going to buy them from?

I picked up my teins for $2000
I can't comment on handling or anything but I drove the car today for the first time and ride is not bad at all when you set it to full soft

a place called fulcrum in queensland.. $2300 incld shipping to nsw.
these are for the lancer aus spec teins. aparently they fit on fto..
how much should i be paying ?

I have D2's and i very happy with them... although i stuck with the stock spring setup it came with(9kg, front 6kg rear), it is a little hard for everyday use... but for the track its spot on.. You can specify your spring rates you require... on of out uk members who also had them changed to a 6kg front and 4kg rear spring which was more suited to everyday use...

Slight correction....they come with 9/7 and the dude fitted 7/5 but other than that.....what he said.
Think about the quality of the roads you usually drive on.

do they change the spring setupfor you ? i dont really want it for track so much but more everyday use.. if they dont change the spring rates for them .. where can i get them changed and wats the price for it?

Impulse racing (the uk d2 dealers) will send you any spring rate you specify.When i bought mine,they also offered to change the springs f.o.c if you pay the postage,although i don't know whether this would apply to you guys.

UAS know the importer in australia for Tein so perhaps get a price off them...
they're on my shopping list and direct from the UK (where the FTO ones are only available) they were something like 1800 delivered to australia.
