heres a weird question dunno if it would have any effect or if it would work.
what if it were possible to custom make CAI. using 2 air filters. feeding through the joining to the 1 pipe. .that would mean more air going thru. would this work or maybe improove performance?
let me know what you guys think.

it'd be possible to make it... but it'll be more for show. i'm pretty sure that it would cause turbulence in the airflow and one would be totally useless or both would be bringing in air at the rate of half the single filter. that is the best case scenario given that both pipes are smooth and without restriction.

i dont reckon there would be much improvement...it would be like taking the filters off altogether - slight top end gain, but more bottom end loss ~
although if both filters were located in the bumper u might get more air going in as you go faster...

N/A engines have to suck all the air they can get - that would just make it harder.

There's only one way to find out..... get one & test it on a dyno!

hahaha note in the pic, the graph shows a low end loss (just) and a high end gain...

i think that twin hks system was designed for a turbo... or supercharger, becos they can suck enough air through the intake compared to N/A so that it creates a pressure difference and could make use of the two filters because its more open
some ppl at the drags/dyno take off their whole air filter system to the turbo so that the top end power is better, but u cant really do that on the road cos of dirt & crap etc
cant see how itd make more power on an n/a without the filters being located in a way so that the outside air pushes into the filters to give mroe air flow

the intake is not really a place where you can gain substantial gains. No matter how fancy you make your intake its not going to be much better than an avarage one.
