Hi guys,
A mate at work is looking at buying a manual FTO, and as a newbie to FTOland, what should he look out for or avoid??
ie- common problems, things that go wrong not long after purchase, etc?

Main things:
Suspension, esp ic car over 100k
Timing Belt (100k Service) - Expensive. Look fof one that has been done.
No rust bubbles in roof
No previous accidents. - uneven gaps, wierd tire wear etc
Options - get an idea of options there are quite a few (see previous thread)
