¿What to look out for when buying an FTO?

Post by 46n2 »

Hi guys,
A mate at work is looking at buying a manual FTO, and as a newbie to FTOland, what should he look out for or avoid??

ie- common problems, things that go wrong not long after purchase, etc?

Thanks for your help,
Cheers,

Try this thread for starters:

Main things:

Suspension, esp ic car over 100k

Timing Belt (100k Service) - Expensive. Look fof one that has been done.

No rust bubbles in roof

No previous accidents. - uneven gaps, wierd tire wear etc

Options - get an idea of options there are quite a few (see previous thread)

The thread listed above should cover most of it!!!
