4G63 Conversion?

Hey guys,
I'm still driving a completely stock (as far as I know) 6A12, though you never can tell buying a second hand import and before I go pumping my money into mods for it, I'm curious to know what's available to us in the way of engine conversions. The latest issue of Hot4's did a section on the 4G63 conversion in a CC lancer, and got me thinking.
Now I'm not the most technically minded when it comes to engine conversions but is this possible? I did a bit of reading and was lead to believe this engine is similar to the 6A13 - as per Danny's and Jeff's turbo conversion? I'm just curious to know really what is out there, I've got a 95 GPX and I really don't get bugger all low-end power. It really struggles, most recently right through the power range until about 5k on all my gears. In all honesty, it might just need a tune up, but I'm keen to see what we can do in the way of Evo motors being squeezed into our beloved coupe.
Any info would be greatly appreciated as I'm keen to start doing some work soon.
Cheers,
Greg.
