Car Covers

Hi, does anyone use one? What are your thoughts?
I bought one today, Kenco brand made out of some fancy stuff and it would want to be cause I paid a 100 bucks for it. Mainly to keep the cat off the paint.
I can't even get the bloody thing on, it seems they forgot to include the extra person that you need to put it on. I can't find this extra person anywhere. I think I might take it back, I don't want to wrestle with this thing all the time.
I try to put it on and the crap is that slippery it's on the floor before I can move.

The only thing I'd say about car covers is that they scratch the duco. They get grit and grime on them and when they blow in the breeze the grit rubs on the paint work and scratches it... Also the fact that half the time you probably wouldnt be arsed about spending the time to put the bloody thing on (yes extra person not included - I think it mentions it somewhere in the instructions!!

)... My 2 cents

Yeah I did think about that but thought the bloody kat drool and hair and claw marks would be worse. I think I'm over it though.

yeah i used to use one when i didn't have a carport. It was good for protecting against dust and bloody bird poos, but all that crap built up on the top and when it rained the crap seeped through and I was left with a really dirty car

(it said it was waterproof too...i guess that means that the cover itself is waterproof but doesn't protect the car like i thought)

hmpphh you guys don't know how much trouble i put to protect my car from the sun since i don't have a garage, i bought a $200 carport at super cheap autos and after half a year, the wind blew it away like a kite, then car covers, i put 2 of em, extra protection. Still all torn up... no best solution

Since we are talking about this topic, something close to it, are car bra's.
Does anyone know where it's possible to get one ?

Nooooooo not the evil car bra

i think those things are the most ugliest things ever created. I'd rather have my front chipped then pay to get it repaired later. FTOs are all about sexy smooth naked style...why would you wanna cover it with a bra.

car bras are ugly...
however if your doing a long trip or country trip id use one just for that reason...
nothing worse then doing a country driving and getting back with bugs glued to your car and stone chips at high speed....
would not use for daily driving though

To stop your front end from sagging of course.

Because of all that "engine" weight up front...
Oh, wait what are we talking about again?
