I got pull over once for them with my old car, & i just tell the cops i need to monitor the temp & boost, so it won't blow up causing road hazard haahahaha & the cop let me go.
But i think i was lucky.

I'm not sure whether pillar guages are specifically illegal or not, but the issues will be whether they are dangerous (eg sharp edges) or block the field of vision or maybe distract the driver.

well actually, not rice for everyone
Reads boost, so you can tell if its spiking etc.
Illegal cause its blocking vision.

FTO338,
Is that an STi Type RA interior pic?
And in ACT they aren't illegal.
So long as you can see clearly they are ok. A friend passed with 2 gauges in cups there

can't be illegal. The new S15 Silvia Spec-R comes with a boost pressure gauge on the A pillar as standard and the Spec-S Aero model comes with an oil pressure gauge

But then again that could be only on the jap version and we may not get that here

its all about blocking vision... if you set them up so they are outside of your normal area of vision (i.e. they don't decrease your visible area) my understanding is its ok...
