All,
We are considering running a national cruise sometime next year to Jindabyne. At this stage I'd like to gauge some interest & comments. Please have a
vote on the front page of the forum

And have a chat on this thread.
It would be a weekend stayover.
Cheers,
Ben

I'm in for sure!
Jindabyne is a pefect spot....beautiful lake and roads that are just a pure pleasure to drive on.
Bring on the mountains I say!!
Hehe, and if any ACT members say "It's too far away"....I'll slap you!

How about Townsville, North Queensland members!?! I think my "It's too far" excuse is well and truly viable!

)
And what's the roads like to get there? (I don't take my car over bumpy roads)

Its a fairly major road. Takes all the snow traffic from Canberra and Sydney. The road goes through Cooma.
Jindabyne is about 2 hrs drive from Canberra. Map below shows Jindabyne and Cooma. Click next map at top and right to follow road to Canberra.

These things are always date dependent.
And as soon as you set a date, at least a third of the ppl who want to go can't
But until then, i'm in.
Looks like an awsome run
And mell is definately going to want to make the meet time

Spetz, it's almost primarily highway driving up to Jindy from ACT. Dwayne is right in that it's about 2 hours (I've done it in less but that's all I'll say about that) and isn't the most exciting trip untill you get right near Jindabyne, then it's all twisty smooth tarmac.
How about Townsville, North Queensland members!?! I think my "It's too far" excuse is well and truly viable!
Hehe, you should come down anyway! Show off your car to me

Heh, I'll make time! My only problem is getting my car back on the road in time.
I can tell you that the roads right next to Jindy are just jaw dropping fun.....you've got Charlottes Pass and Thredbo near by and the roads there are sooo much fun.

I have done all day cruises (and I'm sure many other people here have too) at fast pace in our cars and there's not been any problems.
That 6 hours will most likely be highway driving too!

Cars are design to be driven, & not sitting in the garage
