Ive got 215/35 18 on the front and 225/35's on the rear
see, no probs here

I kinda like the set up of this car,im getting 18's for mine, same specs as this, already got a kit, the whole 4WD look is not preferable after the wheels go on so what i want to know is how much has this bad boy been lowered cause i like the look of it.
Want to go as low as i can without it being tooo low if you know what i mean.
Suggestions people???
Tanks!!

Normally if you get larger wheels with matching profile tires (so that the diameter remains pretty much the same as the stock wheel & tyre profile diameter) then you won't get the 4WD type look, requiring your car to be lowered which then costs more $$$
The other important thing to note is the wheel and tyre width and also your speedometer reading. Get the wheels with the proper offset if you get wider wheels so you don't get any scrubbing or nasties like that, you may need to get your camber adjusted if you get wider wheels though (somebody please answer this as I'm not 100% if the FTO's requrie this).
If you change the overall diameter too much your speedo is out of wack too.
So yeah, all up just remember to get correct profile tyres and offset and you'll be right. I believe that anything larger than 7.5" and you're going to be looking at some scrubbing depending on the offset.

oh yeah.. crap, forgot to answer your question.

I think I tend to go a little off topic like that.
Looking at the profile of the tires and the size of the rims, as well as the kit this guy has, I don't think it's been lowered.
there's another thread here talking about something similar:

tyre sizes
This helps you calculate size without ruining your speedo reading.
Just put in the original size is & work from there.

GOing by the calc the size is exactly the same from 205/50/16 to 225/35/18, is this pretty much right, can someone confer.
Does this mean th gap from the guard to the wheels will be the same???

Firstly sorry for using this pic as an example, i really like your car wheels set up, mell.
But why when u put 18's on it actually looks like their is more gap between guard and wheels.I think their actually more gap in that pic that my stock set up at the moment, but it would b close.
So yeah thats what i dont want. So basically im going to have to drop it an inch and a bit yeah???

why cant it rain airbags, please sir can i have some more.
f**k man, why is it so hard
Most cars look hot dropped on their tits with a nice set of wheels (doesn't matter what type of wheel either ( chrome/not chrome/tuner etc etc). But u drop it and then u run itno everything, and then to fix it u need to get adj sus which ir min 1500 bucks, like i said f**k man why can't life be easier than this.
Okay i feel better.
