Hi just wanting to know if anyone has heard of Bumi motosports? Reason I ask is I'm "consider" saving a bit of $$$ and getting a Bumi pod filter as opposed to the K&N or apexi (yes I realise Im being extremely CHEAP!!). I had a look at their website....looks like they specialise in body kits....maybe....could possibly be another brand altogether. Just would like some opinions....also if some cheap (but still decent) pod filters could be mentioned for my GR. Thanks again guys,
Tim

sadly (arguably)a $30 pod filter would do the same as a $130 pod... its the guarantee and name etc u pay for... yes i have a K&N, beautifull tourque sound

not really Schumie. Better filters have better filtering processing abilities.
Yes, i do agree that price doesnt always justify the quality, but those no name ones dont really cut the mustard.

most of the oiled filters come out of probably 2 main factories and are rebadged to market as whatever the companies want so I can't imagine there being a huge difference at all. obviously with the quality qcontrol they have in place, the higher qc elements will go to the brand names and the no names will get the lower qc parts. normally the qc is quite good so I don't think a normal car enthusiast would be able to tell any difference.

same thing goes for bicycles and other mass manufactured products as well.

dude thats like way wrong, have u seen the imitation ones to the real ones. the elements are completely different and defo not made in the same workshop trust me imitation ones come from chinese workshops with absoulutely no qa processes and hence crap quality and bad filtering . yea they look like an apexi or a hks but defo dont work like one.

yeah.. i admit that the apexi and hks stuff are of a higher quality, but are you willing to pay the premium cost for that because it's manufactured independently? if you can afford it then that's cool but if you're just looking to have free flowing filtration then pretty much any element will do and the power benefits are pretty minimal compared to the cost. after all there's only so much an air filter can do.

and dirt can only get so small, id say most cheap pods would be better than cardboard oem ones anyway
