not meaning to sound rude... but it might be worth really finding out a lot about them before u decide whether you want one? Just sounds like many people buy them and then not realli sure why... and then decide they might have been better spending a bit more and getting a chip or piggy back...I could be wrong though

the SAFCII is the new generation of the SAFC. It has more functions and settings to adjust.
Being a NA your not gonna get heaps of power from any mod except for a turbo conversion. The SAFCII is best used once u finished fitting all performance mods that are on yr 'wish list' and then having it installed and tuned.
Tuning costs around $150. With basic mods expect a gain of 5-7kwatw.

i'm pretty much complete with my "wish list" for the moment. just the extractors+ full exaust and gettin a cai made. the only other thing i want to get done is to port the tb but i guess that not till another 5 or 6 months . i guess for my use which is pretty much road i couldnt justify a piggyback. second hand would be cool as well for me

Yeah i do, i did a post a while back on it too. Picked mine up for $180, 2nd hand of course.

I got 10kwatw with my current setup. But i know I can get more if i use a piggyback ECU.

Whats the diff between the SAFCII and VAFCII?

I thought the VAFCII was for VTEC YO!!!!! and I-VTEC YO!!!!! engines? It works with Mivec?

Btw, am looking to buy a Apexi RSM - new or used

yes the VTEC YO!!!!! can be used with an adaptor to control the twin cam timing on the mivec engine. I would have thought this was the way to go for any Mivec owner. But hey what would I know I havent even got my FTO yet :P

The MIVEC controller topic had been discussed numerous times, & the conclusion is, it actually slow down the car.

wow... thats useful information. thank god i didnt waste my money yet then :P

So I guess the best solution is to just keep the revs high all the time
