Is it possible to have an aftermarket sunroof fitted onto FTOs with no OEM sunroof from the factory?

how much are we looking at for one to be fitted? i been searching for months at auctions for a manual with sunroof but they're sooooo rare! so in the end i just opted for manual without the sunroof... and i kinda regretted it.

anyway, due to the ridges along the roof - will this have problems when fitting an aftermarket sunroof??

I know that someone OS has done this but it was done by locating a second hand roof with sunroof from a Jap wrecker. I can't imagine you would easily fit a sunroof with the uneven roof on the FTO and this is most likely the reason why you need to replace the whole roof as per a factory sunroof job - as all sunroof equipped FTOs came without the ridges in the roof...

bugger.... any FTO 'top cuts' with sunroof's for sale, anyone???

Sorry to dig up the old, but has any one found out any thing about this?

I'm in Sydney and I have just come back from a palce that does sunroofs and I showed them my car, and they said they can do it!!!!!


And they said they have already done one on an FTO the other day//!


So does any body else knows any place that'll do an after market sunroof on an FTO? and the price?

I heard in another thread, that they use some kinda of filler for the indent along the roof (silicon or something?), and some guys said it would look sh*t, though, i have seen a custom fitted sunroof on an fto for sale once, and I didn't even notice it..

So maybe those who said it looks sh*t, are just flat out being too picky... with that said, what prices were you looking at? because mine doesn't have a sunroof either, but I wouldn't mind getting one added... sometime..
