Can a 5 speed triptronic trans from a 2002 magana vrx be used in a 95 gpx?
If so is it an easy job?
Would it keep the revs higher all the time?
Just asking cause i dont know shite about this stuff, but i want my FTO to fly.

The magna VRX uses a larger motor as far as I am aware (3.5L?).
This may cause some problems trying to get them to fit.
However the other problem is that the motor in the VRX would have more torque than the FTO. The gearing would be designed to take advantage of the torque of the motor.
The FTO is a high revving motor with not so much torque, I don't think that gearbox would be such a great idea.

if you want your FTO to fly, you'd think about the engine first before you think about the gearbox...
...and if you are serious about making your FTO fly, you wouldn't think about a Magna tiptronic if you are being serious (unless you wanna spend mega bucks on the gearbox to make it strong and reliable to cope with extra power)

I dont know why people talk down the magna vrx, its a bloody brilliant car engine and mechanics wise (exhast needs some work). The engine is absolutely brilliant, so is the transmission.
Its incredibly quick too, stock 0-100 in just 7 secs.
