Hey i'm not talking about styling or which car looks better (so do not bother going there)
all i wanna know is which car will win between h prelude and fto gpx (both manual and both in stock v)???
the thing is ma frnd is gettin a prelude , so this is important to me.

i beat my friend 98' tip Prelude against my GPX Tip.
So i assume the manual FTO would be the manual Prelude.

Stock Vs Stock
FTO would win.

Do you mean a Type SH Prelude?
They are pretty fast, but also very rare, so you'd be lucky to see one let alone race one. There's also a lot of imitations out there.
My old boss had one, it was very nice. Funnily enough, a Prelude was the other car I was considering when I got my FTO - I used to have an older one and thought it was a damned good car...

Why???
Who cares if his car is faster in a straight line?

Its all depends on the driver, but a FTO will beat a Prelude, but your mate will have lots more parts off the shelf to play with, & much cheaper too. So i won't go around & bag him or you will cope it sooner or later

my mate just got a stock manual 98 vtir prelude a few weeks ago, i havn't had a chance to 'drag' him yet, but its a pretty sick car... hes got the original honda lip kit which makes it look pretty hot hehe... i wouldn't mind getting one, plus VTEC YO!!!!! sounds pretty sick, however i dont think his prelude rev's up as much as ours... i think the type S prelude is only available in the USA?

Nah you can get the Type S and Type SH Prelude in Japan too, which means that we have them here as well. In fact there are a couple in my apartment complex.
Of course the Prelude is more orientated towards being a luxury cruiser type vehicle so has a different focus to the FTO. The Integra is probably a better comparision...

Now that we are talkin abt styling, i think prelude lacks the curves and which is why is not appealing enough for me. plus with prelude u do not get the feeling of siitin in a cockpit like u do in a fto which i quite relish.

I've sat in a lot of cars and I must say the interior of the FTO is still miles above most others. I think it's the two gauges on the center console that do it.
Too bad the passenger side is so sparce....it just screams "stick a tv on me!"

what!! hahah as usual the car you own is the car you think will win always..
sorry to say guys but there's some fast preludes out there but ill make a guess half of you people wont even race...
btw fto interiors are nothing near a prelude in the sense of luxuary..

Obviously you own a 'Lude.
Just like all those "fast" preludes there are plenty of FTO's out there that are just as fast.
But stock for stock an FTO is going to win in a straight line, just (will come down to driver skill).....and annihilate the 'lude in the corners.
EDIT: Ok I've just done some more research.....the only stock model Prelude an FTO would have trouble with is the new VTiR model (2000+). But just like the teggy type R the money you spend on one of those (newer models being high 19k mark) could easily mod an FTO into a very quick car.
As for interior, well that's always going to come down to personal preference, but I've included some piccies to help you all along the path to enlightenment
Honda Prelude
FTO

(EDIT) DAMN YOU HOT LINKING CRAP!!

Bah, we all know what the FTO insides look like.
Grabbed these of google images, so I'm sure there are better ones out there.

i aint a lude driver, i drive serveral car's..
you cant compare the price range when it comes to whos got a faster car ...
you can only compare the engine and power to weight ratio difference..
also i didnt say there aint any fast fto's out there but then again there some slow ass ones ..
