I did this a couple weeks back buddy.
U can get the t cut stuff from super cheap, exactly the same brand etc as the website.
I opted to use "Platic X" from autobahn, and its worked wonders.
As for the wet and dry, make sure u do use water with it, and if u rly want a smoother job, add a dash of dish washing liquid to the water

wellz, at first i was a bit shaky, hahaz.
i only just got my fto, and did this like 2 days afterwards
its pretty straight forward.
i wiped the headlights clean first, then went straight onto it with the wet n dry. i sanded it down in one direction - just in case i screw up, so that marks wont be noticeable. Btw, open have your hood up as well. Makes life much easier when your doing the top bit of the headlight.
But the wet n dry is so fine anyway, its almost impossible to scratch it

+ your using water and a tad of dishwashing liquid if u want. hehe.
just make sure u got like a couple of spare towels with ya for wiping the crap clean and for applying the t cut or plastic x.
