Wowa, by asking a question like that you can be opening a huge can of worms.
I guess it comes down to how you want your car setup.
If it's just for looks then I'd suggest just doing the springs and shocks.
Something to remember with a lot of coilover kits (from outside Aus) is that they aren't really setup for Australian roads. These shocks tend to be very stiff and for a lot of people this means uncomfortable.
You'd have better results asking this in the Tech area or maybe even browsing through the FTO OC Forums in the UK.

I'm looking at these currently. You need to go for UK spec Tein superstreets or D2's with a 7kg and 5kg spring, if you are looking for a decent ride quality. Most other coilovers are pretty hard going by what I have read so far. D2s come with pillow ball top mounts too.

Just bought myself a set of JIC's hieght adjustable, and i can tell you that there pretty firm for the road(nicer than teins) and ballance nicely for the track.
they have 7 - 5 kg springs, and i think on track the FTO would benefit if they were a bit stiffer. Just went to wakefield last week.
I kinda now understand why the japs have gone for such high spring rates...

Unless someone's already done it for you, it is highly recommended that you replace your shocks if you change your springs.
Otherwise your ride comfort will probably suffer.
And yeah, it's complicated stuff, I'm still getting my head around it all. A decent setup can be one of the most expensive parts of a car!
