what brand would u recoommend? and how much would they cost im in WA btw....ive heard people have issues that have abs have problems fitting the strut

I had KONIs fitted and the ABS was not a problem

Correct me if im wrong, but a strut that has ABS attached usually has an extra bracket on it and apart from the ABS bits (which are not part of the strut), thats it.

I have Bilsteins fitted and not an issue. All my mechanic did was to bracket the ABS to the strut using cable ties. Seems to do the job.

And before someone picks me up on one of my previous posts, yes my front Bilsteins are inserts, but they went into a standard shock, not an ABS one (long story)

how much do they cost?ive seen some ebay ones for 70 bucks are those worth the buy?mines a 96 tip with abs and some people say its a different kind of strut?any help would be greatly apprciated

if your talking about strut braces - then yes the UAS one didn't fit on FTO's with ABS....

Funny that....I have ABS and I swear I just took my UAS brace off my car.

yes it does, its just a tight fit..(and you need to remove it to access the brake resovoir)

been on there since they made the things 1 1/2yrs ago or so

my mistake - but thats only what I was told by UAS. When I bought one they made sure I did not have ABS as they said they had trouble fitting one.

Both strut braces I got off them are great, and they'll help out with any queries or problems. Nice guys who know bout fto's.

I have the Kempy's strut braces front & rear too. This is the front (obviously).

man that looks hot! the only different i can find is just the quality like stainless, aluminium etc etc, in performance rise it don't do much different in brand, i just got the last special $90 from UAS all stainless ... very happy

there are differences between brands/shapes...

supposedly bars that are straighter (no bends or kinks) are stiffer and more solid compared to bars that, arent. (at the limit). dont know to what effect though.. i can just imagine a bit of spongy effect could be good to absorb some bump steer etc. when driving on some roads. they must make the adjustables for a reason

I would have thought the main factors are:
- stiffness
- weight
- cost
- looks
- brand name

You'll generally get what you pay for.

As far as I know struts braces aren't meant to be adjusted after you have fitted them.

back to the topic , does the rear brace do much? im thinking about getting one. but just want to know is it really worth it>?
