Ok GPXBOY,

Justjap is a good start.

Otherwise try www.partslocator.com.au and find a wrecker near you that might have the parts.

Alternatively call Northshore Mitsubishi Parts on 02 9436 0776 & get genuine articles...
Here are the part numbers:
Door Mirror LH MR759294
Door Outer Handle LH MR199624
Door Shell LH MR178523
Door Skin LH MR178527

Good luck!

Hey GPXBOY, I may be interested in buying the bent door, depending on how bad it is.

I know this sounds strange, but I am building a simulator for the computer and I have an FTO shell, but no doors. If the door can be persuaded to close, I would maybe be interested in taking that off your hands if the price is right.

Have sent you a personal mail as well

You guys have too much money  :P

cash

Nup, the opposite is actually true,

If I had the cash at the time, I would have bought the doors too. I needed the interior of the shell to swap with the interior of my car. The FTO I bought had holes in the dash, cigatette burns in the seats, missing boot carpet etc. I had a choice, just buy the bits I needed, or buy the shell with interior intact. Cost $1500 and now I have a spare of pretty much everything inside and realistically, it did not cost me much more than it would have if I had just bought the bits I needed to replace.

With one door, even if it is bashed around a little, it is easier to keep all the neighbourhood cats out of it.

There are soooo many things I would like to do, but mortgages tend to put a stop to that.

OH well, one day........

Maybe.....

Seemed like a good idea at the time.....

No, actually, I had wanted to do this for the challenge. I successfully built a wooden frame one with seat, dash, pedals and shifter, but wanted something a little more authentic.

In the end the opportunity arose. I needed bits for my FTO and a found a shell for the right price (minus doors which would have cost $500 ea)Chopped the shell off at the firewall and just behind the front seats. Have reduced wiring and have all dash lights incl climate control stereo etc working. Have got the right feel for both accellerator and brake, just need to sort steering out and set up some mechanicals so that it banks and the back moves left/right when steering is turned.

Bit of a shame that I dont have time to play games really......

get a second hand door, it's basically the same thing. If you buy M3 mirrors bare in mind that you'll have to fill the holes left in both doors (from the old mirrors) and repaint both doors. Try to find a second hand mirror aswell.

Well Just Jap has a second hand door with the mirror, $350 so just gotta find someone willing to spray the door white and fitting it
