Ok, just interested to see what this car would be worth.
1996 FTO GPX
Tiptronic Auto
RED
46 000 Genuine km's
Body, paint, engine and gearbox are in fantastic condition. Interior is
"like new". Brand new tyres and 12 monthes rego.
How much would this be worth?

I'd be inclined to say around the 17k mark.
And if you're lucky it might be a 5spd auto box.
The KM's would drive the price up.

id be wary of importing to make a profit... had a lot of friends try it, and they end up being stuck with the car for quite a while... depends whether you can be bothered with the hassle?
Make sure its a very good example of an fto....

Tiptronics can be difficult to on sell. I know, been there, done that. I lost $1000 on my first import and I got it CHEAP!
If you can find a manual in that condition though, then you'd generally be talking a very easy sale at a premium price (relative to other FTO's).

OC,
Just a couple of things, I imported my 96 GPX nearly 3 years ago it had just over 57000kms then so I would have a few doubts as Bennoz.
Even if it has near new tyres they will have to be replaced here in Aus ( part of the compliancing) you may find it dificult to find a complier these days and it could become expensive most charge around $5000.
Mine came with drivers airbag so the front seat belts had to be replaced with new ones.
I have imported a few other cars and it is very hard to make much money, I would only import for myself these days.
As aguide for that year model you would have to get it for 400000 - 50000 yen FOB.
It was an interesting exercise and a bit of fun just the same.
I hope that this is of some use to you.

dont doubt the k's, a lot of them here have sub 50000ks and they are genuine as the speedos are extremly(and i stress this) hard to wind back. i have looked into this a lot. but i didnt have that worry as my 95 had 132000ks on it when i bought it last year, but motors these days will last 300000ks these days with some basic maintanence... and maybe an engine rebuild.

If its a fresh import see if you can get a copy of the Auction Sheet, a guy on the UK OC nearly brought what he thought was a nice clean car and the grade was 0! There aren't a lot of good examples left in Japan now a lot of accident repairs
Looks like FTO prices are still a little higher over there than in the UK from your estimate
