Hi All,
I've been lurking and posting on here for some time now and the end has finally come.
After a 4 car pile up on the westgate bridge 2 weeks ago, the insurance company has finally written off my car...
Although I'd love to get another one I think the kids are sick of squishing in the back and with $18K that being as much as I"ll ever get for it in mint condition I've decided to move on...
Thanks to all those who helped me with my little mods and stupid questions over the years
I'd like to thank..... Oh sorry... not the award speech... bugga
Bye all and I'm sure I'll keep lurking for a little longer
Goodbye farewell and Amen.

Sorry you had such a bad experience with your FTO. Being a mother of two GROWING boys I think when they get too big for it they can either walk or buy their own cars..

Good luck and take care on the roads. Please feel free to drop by when time permits
Cheers and good health

Damn, it's never good to hear of FTO's being written off.
Best of luck to you in whatever vehicle you chose to purchase next.

That's the whole idea bennoz

Here's a quick pic with my phone camera to give anyone a general idea of the damage.
95 gpx tip, it's got a nice looking set of 17" rims on it, will take some proper shots on Sunday.
At this stage, I am *NOT* interested in parting it out, just want to move the car in one go preferably, it drives perfectly fine, it's just the back end looks a bit like Wendy Harmer

I haven't thought about a price for the wreck yet, Iwill do over the weekend.

Amazing what insurance companies call 'written off.'
Thats a good hit, but not un-fixable by the look of that shot...
If its still drivable & it didn't whack the chassis / wheel alignment out, they shouldn't call it a write off... but thats just my 2 cents! I'll get off my horse now

Well, it was better for me to write it off, so I'm not drivin round a cut and shut, so that's the way it went down

But enough of hijacking this poor guys thread, I'll make one on the weekend in the for sale section with some better pics.

I was under the impression that when a car is written off and you get paid out, then the wreck belongs to your insurance company and you CANNOT sell its parts.
If this is NOT the case, then first DIBS on the top right hand engine mount
