What are the performance figures for each model FTO in stock form?
I'm talking 0-400m and 0-100k's.
Also, what is the KW output of each model?

Average figures are:
[ GPX ]
power 147kw
0-100: low-mid 7s
0-400: low-mid 15s
[ GR ]
power: 127kw
0-100: high 7s - low 8s
0-400: mid 15s
...not sure on the GS model

I'm pretty sure the GS engine is 125kw stock.
not much difference from GR, would figures be the same?

The GS has a 1.8L 4 cylinder engine, there would be quite a diffrence between GS and 2.0L V6 GR.

the GS comes with a jap-spec DOHC 1.8l 4cyl motor that puts out about 92kw (based on my dodgy maths)... it's essentially the same motor as the Lancer MR but in DOHC trim i think...

I just found this;
The sophisticated, powerful (200BHP@7500rpm) 2.0-litre V6 MIVEC (Mitsubishi Innovative Valve timing and lift Electronic Control) DOHC engine switches automatically between two sets of cam lobes: one for deft low rev response with muscular yet controlled torque, and the other for execptional top-end power. The result is a silky smooth ride at steady speeds, with a resonant, throaty bass roar that thrills the spirit when you decide to put the throttle down.
The powerful 2.0-litre V6 DOHC engine is almost as powerful as it's sophisticated MIVEC counterpart, with flexible torque and outstanding peak power of 180BHP at 7000rpm (a mere 500rpm lower than the MIVEC unit). The result is a more refined engine note at high are RPM with minimal loss in performance. Like the MIVEC engine the 2.0-litre V6 DOHC engine is most at home at high revs.
This 1.8-litre 16 valve SOCH engine gives lively performance and outstanding fuel economy, with 16 valves giving a a peak power of 125BHP at 6000rpm. Torque is available from low RPM making this engine as flexible if not as powerful as the V6 engines.
This guy reckons the GS is just as powerful as the GR engine due to torque flexibilty. Can you figure out kw from bhp? Its like almost the same isnt it?

as a general rule of thumb, 1kw = 1.345hp
the official power figures for the GPX are 200bhp fresh from the factory (which translates to 147kw-ish, again based on my dodgy maths)... mind you, the ECU on the MIVEC motor is tuned to Japanese fuel, and to achieve that sort of power you will need high-octane fuel like Optimax, BP Ultimate or Mobil 8000... so if you fill up with anything less than 98-RON, you won't get optimum performance from the motor...

I have a GS thats got accouple of mods and have been using Caltex Vortex (96 Ron). I find it gives my car a very weird smell, particularily when I park it in the garage and put the door down (it actually smells like gas). I've used Optimax a few times but didn't really notice much of a big difference in performance.
I would say my GS could do 0-100 in maybe 8-9 secs, I was just curious as to the official stock figures by model.

honestly i wouldn't expect a world of difference regardless of which fuel you use on the 1.8l motor... but for a high-compression motor like the V6 however, you will notice the difference particularly at high rpms...
what sort of mods have you got on your car? any pics??

Just exhast, pod filter/air intake and mod chip (I think its a unichip, not sure though) and the suspension is stiffer with very low profile tires, 17x8.

im pretty sure from memory the GS is the 4g93 which is the SOHC 1.8 lancer 4cylinder engine and the 125kw u where referring to is actually 125HP.

I got a GR FTO and i've timed my 0-100 on the Apexi RSM and i got 7.19 seconds. That was running optimax and what ever junk i had in my car.

Thats Damn Good Times chop_sticks
I roughly tested my stock gpx with a full tank of optimax, 10degs and about 50kg of crap in the boot, 0-100km in about 7.8, how much was the apexi rsm & fitting costs

i used a stop watch (not that accurate) and got 6.3 0-100
i wouldnt mind using one of those apexi timers to see what i could really get

i have a stock GR. about two weeks after i bought it i timed it with a g-tech pro performance meter. after practising different launch techniques i managed to get repeatable times under 7 second for the 0-100kph sprint. my best was 6.93secs.
i have since made a few changes to the car and am hoping to better my times when i borrow my friends g-tech again.

I read on an fto website somewhere that the earlier GR models had only 170bhp whereas the newer facelifted models have 180bhp.
GPX has always been 200bhp though.

Twistea, that is incredibly fast for a stock GR...
And I thought I was alittle crazy in saying my GS could do it in 8 flat.

anybody care to lend me their G-Tech/RSM?? hehehe...
and i'm curious to know how do you launch to get those times? would be good if we could have some pics posted with the times shown on the g-tech/RSM...
