Hey guys,

My engine is rattling quite a bit atm with the tappets being out. but there is this other noise on idle which sounds like sounds like tv fuzz but quiet. and happens on and off. it sounds like its coming from the passenger footwell.

has anyone experienced this?

im running 5w 50(mobil)

Could it be coolant leaking onto hot exhaust or other assorted hot bits?

that could be possible.. my coolant is a little bit down

erm...

A leaf or something caught in the ventilation fan? Don't laugh...! Try turning off the fan - see if the "tv hiss" noise goes away.

Also try changing the channel on any in car tv system you might have If coolant is low it's going somewhere. I'm going to keep A) lock it in.
