Small interior aerial

After pulling out my rear seat on my 95 GPX and removing the interior quarter panel on the drivers side to prepare for painting my car i found a small aerial taped to the interior quarter panel.
Does anyone know what this is for?

Im not sure if it is an interior sensor of types.

That is the receiver for the factory remote central locking system.

i've got one too. mine is horizontal, in behind the plastic passenger arm rest on the drivers side. but i don't have remote central locking.

It is the the remote central locking system your car may not of come with the remote though
