i had a funny thing today. i was trying the defogging technique for hte light pods on the bumper, and to my surprise the fto has fog lights.
i thought we jsut had indicators and driving lights in the litle pods on our bumpers?
upon taking the pods off the bumper i found what i thought to be driving lights in the middle of the pod, indicaters to the outside and on the inner part big fog light connectors and bulbs that are a little rusty.
now i suspect the switch on the right of the speedo is ment to turn them on, but that jsut turns on my driving lights... is this because my lights are busted or is there another way to turn these lights on?
apreshiate the help!
thanks

First person to confuse me about the difference a between driving light and a fog light was Ruchi.

As far as I know, there are 2 types of these assemblies. Both types have indicator and park lights, however one of them also has fog lights. As far as I know, none have driving lights (my definition of driving lights is lights that throw a long high beam to supplement the full beam lights).

Im glad you guys brought this subject up because ive been having problems figuring out what a driving light was (I was asking GAV the same questions).
Could a driving light double up as a fog light? Does fog light just refer to a light being lower to the ground than normal lights so there is better ground coverage?
Anyway.. I am looking for some "driving lights" for the vR front bar.. I heard the CRV lights can fit them as well.. have you heard of any lights that you will be able to replace your driving lights and indicators with afterburner (in case they're broken or somethin)??

OK, I hope I don't confuse anybody more here.
I know the difference between a spot light and a driving light, ok both of these lights are used to supplement the high beam lights, a spot light when you look at it (off of course

) there is nothing on the lense or cover in front of the bulb so the light pretty much is just a spot. With driving lights lines and markings in the lenses like in most cars headlights, spread the light wider.
I don't know about fog lights but I know that they are different again, maybe someone else can help here, not much need for fog lights up here,

.
OF course this is all different from your park lights which are just a little bulb and don't really direct any light out much at all.

Driving lights and fog lights are completely different. Driving lights throw a long powerful beam and are used (as mentioned above) to supplement the high beam headlights. Fog lights have a very short distributed beam, are usually mounted low down, and can be used with low beam lights. Think of it as if you were driving towards a car with either type of these lights - if you were doing this towards a car with driving lights on, you would probably be blinded. However fog lights would appear just like normal low beams.
Nah I haven't head of any replacement lights - but this may be because my car doesn't have the standard front bumper. When you say GPvR front bar, I assume you mean the normal facelift FTO one with the twin round indicators and foglights? My car is a facelift one, but it has the pre-facelift indicator/park/fog light assemblies because of the aftermarket bumper.
