Hi guys, i need a bit of information. One of my belts snapped recently and ripped the wires out of my crank angle sensor

. Can someone tell me how to get to the sensor. Which way do i turn the crank shaft bolt to get the pulley off? will i be able to reattach the wires or will i need a new sensor?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

thats not gonna be an easy job... my understanding is that the crank angle sensor is located underneather the lower cambelt cover. so to get at it you have to take off the aircon/power steering belt and the alternator belt, then take off the crank pulley (which is a task in itself if you dont have the tools), then you have to take the covers off... to take the crankshaft bolt off you turn it anticlockwise... youll need a big wrench and a lot of leverage...
behind the crank pulley, youll find the crank sprocket, which has a metal 'fan' like thing attached to it. the blades of that fan move through the crank angle sensor, which is a plastic thing attached to the block with a couple of screws.
i dont think it will be an easy task to reattached the wires... you can take everything off and give it a go though... since you have to take everything off if you want to put a new one in there anyway.

Thanks for the info. Sounds hard, but i'll give it a go it will save me money and the mechanics are all booked out for another week and a half. Since its gonna be so much work i may as well get a new one. Where can i get a new sensor from?
